Hi Guys,

Can someone just clarify the following

Measuring the toe in on the rear wheels........... does the below table suggest that measuring between the inner faces of the rim, at a mid point.....

The front "edges" of the rim should be 1.9mm closer together than the rear. Or is it 1.9mm per side from a centreline down the length of car  meaning that the total difference between the inner faces of the rim is 3.8mm between front and rear edges?

I dunno if any of that makes sense !?!?!?!

Mmmm you need Clive mate me thinks Clive recently advise me 0.15 toe in rear overall and  0.07 on each rear wheel on a rx7 fd as it moves abit on acceleration and turning forces.
The rear on an 8 is superior and does not wander as much so values gonna be less as a guide...till someone can give you exact figures...

Cheers Jon,   :13:   I'll wait for Clive to share some experience on the matter.

Theres no immediate rush, Im setting the wooden discs Ive bolted on at 0 degrees from the car centre line from the point of view of making the arches.

Just wanted some clarity when it comes to putting them all back to a factory position..........(until it comes to fine tuning)

That's some tight tolerance lol

Almost as good as that table above, there the +/- tolerance is greater than the measurement itself lol

My live axle moves about abit,  on hard g corners...sometimes the prop uj kisses the tunnel lol..9j slicks for you. The panhard rod needs rose jointing me thinks.
Are you sure you wanna stick with the 8s 18s...17s fit lower your gearing and improve acceleration.

I'm going with 17" steels so it's more in keeping with the look of the car.

I've already got them, dun like the standard alloys, might use them or wets or something

There's a pic of them on page 2 of this thread.

Thought of you this week, remember you talking about fitting wider wheels on the back to over cone oversteer but now it's promoting under steer.

I got a book on aerodynamics by Simon mcbeath...... There was a photo of an open wheeled car, the nose cone was full width so it created an air dam in front if the front wheels and helped with downforce......... Food for thought

Well if you have any ideas on how you want it to look, id make you one from grp if ya didn't fancy doing it yourself....... No obligation, something to play about with which can be easily swapped for the standard one
