New Miata red would be awesome too... But yes, I do know what you mean. Color for that era would be perfect. Unfortunately,  all those colors look like crap

Just had to google winning blue.............. yes I agree thats nice Jon.

Hahahaha Jarno ! I admire your honesty  :13: I guess colour is a personal taste. Yes the Red Miata, is a nice colour, theres a guy at the Shelsley Walsh hillclimb who has one.

I posted a few pics below.... I know this forum isnt for any old car, but as an example my 1947 Chevy Truck was painted in gloss beige from the 1980's Volvo 240 of all things, with satin maroon to break it up.

Jon theres a standard lotus blue which looks similar to your aurora blue.

As much as I like the 787 Le Mans livery, (reminds me of a box of Tic Tacs) I think i need to stay true to what the car is, a 70's British car.

The white with the black roof and blacked out bumpers etc.........drool !

Anyway, back to fibreglass a dash board mould........ Christmas Eve in the shed at 6am, woot !

p.s. see the recessed filler cap on the truck...... :P :P theres a bit of a theme going on.

Yeah, that blue Lotus looks awesome...

But, for race car, usually best choise for color is really unusual color, color thats different than other people has...

Well, dunno, just my two cent

Merry  Christmas all. My two penneth is one of your original thoughts , British Racing Green with the Yellow or another favourite was I believe called Bristol Racing Blue??? but can find no evidence to support this other than I had a Ford Consul Classic resprayed in this colour back in the 60's.
Sadly no longer with us, RIP Ray, 9 Feb 2021

Yeah, Im struggling to find a more "fitting" colour......... but plenty of time to draw a conclusion.

So ive been busy over the holiday period making my first multi part mould for the dashboard.

Needs tidying up and flatting back in places and the gel coat has chipped but no major dramas that cant be rectified.

Had to bash the pattern to get the mould off, but it was a disposable item anyway.......

Will post the finished dashboard in the new year......... long hot tub weekend away with the better half as shes been a "shed widow" most of December.
