Bit of a size difference! Got to chop 150mm off the pipe before the flange to make it fit

Sounds sexual

Couldn't of fitted better. Need to jiggle the resonator block over a bit. The old exhaust was close.

Nice to know, I’m running (well when it’s finished) 2, but either side of a smooth radius 90 degree bend.

Air “flow” shouldn’t be affected by the bend..... lol fingers crossed

The correct back box arrived :) minimal cutting required

Nice, looks like a relatively simple diy build.

Should look good with some new tips

A lot cheaper as well. Cobra mx5 back box is £400-500. I've built whole system for less

No meaning to be a wet blanket but if you use conventional exhaust boxes on a rotary you will rapidly end up with an empty can because the stuffing will burn out.

From memory they need to have Rockwool inside.

To give an idea of heat, on the MK 2 version of the RX-4 which was the first time the 13B engine appeared, unlike mine it had a huge back box.
Dealers were instructed to tell new owners not to park on grass after a long run for fear of setting the grass alight  :wee_hee:
All the best Clive

Lol glad I bought a repackable one, mine has like a white wadding blanket that wraps around the perf tube. When you mean rock wool you mean like the loft insulation stuff, I know you can get the stainless steel “wool” as well.

I'll get a repackable mid box. They're bloody expensive. Bit stuck on the back box but it is what it is
