Thanks yes  :)

Need to do some prep but have a shortlist, some with pistons I'm afraid, but will not be rushing.
Another sort of 7 perhaps........
or Elise
or something along those lines I expect, always fancied an Elan +2 but not allowed to have a canoe that does 120mph  :-X

Ive had a look at exiges and elises...shot up in price so much...i had a vx220 2.2 in the past. Erratic handling in anything other than dry condition...think in part due to lack of lsd...
A seven is nice but very much like a motorbike fair weather only....put it this way i wouldnt have another...think that goes for anything open top atom caterham etc...

There defo seem a gap in the market for an affordable reliable fast n fun sports coupe or convertible.....if i could get a lotus supercharged k20 engined for 10k i would move on but they are not out there...just cant have it with the rover engine...
Good luck with your choice and hunting lets us know what you get.

Sure,  yes tested a 220 once......
We actually drove a pair of 7s across Scotland to Skye in October a few years ago so know what you mean but it was a great drive.
So I'm starting to look or I'll have to wait for an rx9! In the meantime we have just got a vw up and that is like a kart :-)

Yep back to basics and road legal thrills...
Recently done a thruxton trackday in a mk2 mx5 with basic mods bought by a mate for 850 quid...upgrade to brakes and suspension...so much fun no issues and exhilarating to drive on the limit...really did get me thinking aint all about being the fastest its about having fun..
