Hi all

I posted a while ago that I was looking at buying a 7, but I have now done it and she's on her way from Japan.

I have managed to get hold of a 1996 Bathurst R.
Have had fitted some Feed carbon skirts and door handles as well as ohlins  coilovers.
Also I have had the 99 conversion done.

She should be in the county in about 7 weeks. Very excited and looking forward to driving her and coming along to some shows.

What a beautiful car Bex  :love4:  :13:

Thanks for becoming a Full Member on here - I saw your subscription go through this morning  :icon_thumleft:

Very much hoping to see you and your car at an event sometime this year. Three that come to mind are:

Day at Mazda UK HQ at Dartford, Kent - a FREE event hosted by Mazda UK (a new event for us and Mazda)
http://mazdarotaryclub.com/forum/index.php?topic=84107.0

Japanese Day at Castle Combe, Wiltshire (a HUGELY popular show where we join up with the RX-8 OC to have a 60+ car stand - with an opportunity to have a "Club Exclusive" track session for 15 minutes)

RotaryStock in Holland - the biggest Rotary Event in Europe, held in Holland every 2 years
http://mazdarotaryclub.com/forum/index.php?topic=84109.0

I plan to be at all three events

Excuse me whilst I go now to clean up the dribble caused by viewing your car photos  :P ;) :)

Wow, no messing about from you Bex :great:, thank you for becoming a full club member and supporting the club straight away :welcome:

Really beautiful car that you are going to get your hands on, you will find its an awesome drivers car, that you "wear" to drive  :wee_hee:

Please don't forget that part of your club membership is a valuation for your insurance company, which in the horrible event of total loss would me you get paid proper money rather than stupid offers !.

Real good time to buy one of these cars, as the prices are now going up and up and will continue to do so  8)

All the best Clive

Thank you both for the warm welcome.

I will have a look at those events and see which are most likely for me to attend.
Have to factor in the family lol.
My other half and I will be going to JAE in august/September if anyone is going?

I will have a look into the valuation for the car when the car is in the country I think, as that's when I will be looking at getting my insurance.

Thank you both for all you help.

Casey you go sort yourself out, at least the car is white so when you see it in person no one will be able to tell 😉😉

Yep no messing about atall....rare to find a largely standard car these days...
Is this a personal import or using a specialist?
Its worth getting into a specialist on arrival for a checkover.
Opps yes and Welcome....nice car...

Yes I agree very rare indeed.

I am using Newera Imports. They sourced the car and have fitted the parts. Then when she arrives RK Tuning are waxoyling and fitting an alarm.
I am so pleased with the car. 70000 km and full Mazda history.

Thank you for the warm welcome.

No probs with Newera....in very capable hands...only a caution as a newbreed of importers have sprung up and fd needs knowledge.
Youll be fine with Newera.

Yeah I had done some research before commiting but Newera came back with the best package.

They are more expensive but are definitely better value and quality for the money and Miguel, who sources the cars in Japan, has owned one for years so I'd really clued up on the cars and has given me some great advice.

That is one lovely looking clean RX7, are you going to keep it as it is now?
Lead me not into temptation, I can find it myself...
But i can always do with some help now due to, my advancing years!

Rx7bex

For now she will be staying as she is.

Just want to enjoy her. But as and when I'm sure I will post up some pics 😉

Wow and welcome Bex. Great looking car and from a well know supplier.

re japi

Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

Hi All

Just wanted to post up an update.

I'm picking my new rx7 up on Monday. It's been a while since I posted but got the call today to say she is ready.

I can't wait.

Casey
