Didn't see if it's possible to buy them "on gate", or is it online tickets only?

I've just asked the organisers via their website  :)

Reply received today:

Dear mr Case,

Thank you for your interest in our event.

The buying online will guarantee you the tickets and gives you a â,¬ 7,50 discount per ticket.

Hope to see you in Apeldoorn in July!

Kind regards,

Timo Rietbergen

So, we can buy on the gate on the day, but will cost us more.

I suggest we leave buying tickets for a while, whilst we confirm who's on the trip and when our group and itinerary are sorted, we can decide whether to buy online before we go? Does that sound sensible?

Any news on this one? Should I purchase tickets now, or wait a bit longer? :)

Unless Clive has other thoughts, I suggest we leave this a bit longer  :)

Update time
Crissy and I are booked on to the same ferry rowing as Malcolm, Clive and Lisa

Ryan and Madisson have also booked the same Ferry crossing.

On a sadder note it turns out DreRX8 has had a booking clash so now can't make it. Though I have my fingers crossed he can sell the weekend to Nadia using his excellent persuasive skin Les and she decides to come with us instead of heading to a wedding for the weekend :(

:) I'm pleased too - need to start thinking about things to organise prior to the trip now.

IMPORTANT: in case anyone else didn't spot it, Lisa started a related topic here - http://mazdarotaryclub.com/forum/index.php?topic=84324

I originally planned to take KIMI 2 over, but after speaking to Clive, and thinking the AirCon would probably be good idea, I've changed my Ferry booking to take my RX-8.

Reason for mentioning it is when travelling P&O Ferries before I've notified them in advance that the car has low clearance, which changed the order they load the car onto the ship. This worked well on the Dover-Dunkirk route in 2015, with a group of us en-route to Spa, as we were loaded first and got off first too. Loading ramps at both ends were no issue.

Damn, I was hoping that you will bring KIMI :) But reasons you listed above are good ;)

kev-yorks

A slight change of plans for me, a intermittent ignition/computer issue I've been fighting for a while has resurfaced and means I'm now going to be taking the car over on a trailer just to be on the safe side. So travelling Dover-Calais and booked on the same crossing as the rest of you outbound but heading back a day earlier.
If all the parts arrive in time it'll be a needless precaution but with the luck I've been having lately something will be missing when everything arrives end of this week.

Have you any plans for a specific meeting place en-route or are you all meeting at Dover?

Kevin
Regards Kevin

Casey

Sorry to hear you are going to have to haul a trailer Kev, but at least it means you're covered  :icon_thumleft:

Sounds a good idea to meet up at/near Dover for those of us on the 11.10am Ferry. Meeting in Dover itself (having tried it in the past) isn't too easy, as there aren't many places people can wait up. Does anyone know of a location we could use?

Best I could see on a search was to use a "Morrisons" Car Park, CT16 2LB, but the entrance isn't at that postcode, it's just around the corner, from the A256, Charlton Green, only 5 mins from the port. If nothing better, we could meet up there at to leave in convoy at 10.15am? There's a handy Cafe in the store too, so might work.

CrissyUK

I am looking forward to this. After almost 2 years since breaking my legs I should be able to get in and out of Aston's car without causing a scene every time and since there are no toll booths on the motorway I won't get shoved out the window to pay the tolls... :-)

I am hoping to be able to go and see the nature reserve and the funky statues at some point if the rain stops.

See you all on Friday!
Crissy

Casey

Look forward to seeing you on Friday Crissy - will you and Aston be meeting up with us at the Morrison's venue prior to heading for the port? I think Gwyn and I will get some breakfast in the cafe in Morrisons just before we leave.
