Hi guys,

I have had this problem for a while now and can't get my head round it.

So the engine will start and Rev freely when just parked up and not under any load. One issue I have noticed is the boost gauge invariance then normal cluster doesn't show boost, shows vacuum and increases slightly but no where near where it should sit. It has boost their as the dump valve is dumping correctly.

So basically I can drive it down the road fine, boost once, and then as soon as I try to accelerate hard again it does until I lift off of the throttle and then it picks up again...

So confused.

Any ideas would be great!!!

Cheers

I f you have a cat fitted check it's not collapsed, as i had the same problem, just an idea.
Lead me not into temptation, I can find it myself...
But i can always do with some help now due to, my advancing years!

Could be so many things, as John says, could be the cat.

Personally I would start with a fresh fuel filter but its also worth we had a T11 years ago that did the same and it was a faulty switch on the throttle ( engine end)

Okay will try Fresh fuel and fuel filter this weekend and get back to :) any other ideas would be great? Do you know the exact sensor? Tps?

I have a racing beat full system which came in the car, I believe it doesn't have a cat fitted, but will also check this on the weekend :)

Just checked online, my exhaust system deletes the cat so that isn't the problem, cheers for the help any other ideas would be great

Might be worth calling Tim White at RX Motors in Salisbury to see if he can help out.

Tim is extremely knowledgeable on all Mazda rotaries and is probably your closest specialist.
