HI All,

Has anyone installed / used an Accusump in the RX7?

All comments / thoughts welcome especially if youv'e used one.

Cheers

Not heard of a Rotary using one but sounds an interesting alternative to the expensive dry sump solution.

I just did some googling on them. Very neat idea. No idea where youd plumb it into though in order to get the oil and pressure into the engine?

Found this pic so the install is simple,

Only way I can see this works is that it accumulates pressure then squirts more as required if it sees a pressure drop ?

Yeah 3 different pressure settings to choose from so squirts in oil at a low setpoint and refills chamber when pressure returns....neat idea...but treating symptom not the cause. But a solution is a solution.

Most of the guys I raced with in oz used them in piston cars, just wondered if any reason why you wouldn't run one in a rotary..
Main reasons:
Helps keep up pressure during high g turns due to oil slop in the sump.
Helps to avoid dry starts if your car isn't driven regularly

Easy installation is via a oil filter location sandwich plate.
