Had a real blast the morning was constant rain and then the afternoon was drying track but colder and thats when the track was even worse....tower through to camp being the old tarmac was especially bad...11 cars spun on that section in 20 mins after lunch prompting a red flag and mini briefing warning off the conditions.
Even with the little Colt i was spinning up in 3rd and 4th on this old section but as soon as onto new section of tarmac traction back and speed up...No Avon rise heriocs but closed down pretty much everyone on the rise as they all seemed to braking way to early....
The conditions were a real power leveller.  All types of machinery there a beautiful r500 superlight Caterham was absolutely cover in mud from spinning off in a straight line...i spoke to the son of the driver dad who refused to go out in init again..he said his dad is mad the cars all over the place lol.
Some tool in an Evo got thrown out for ignoring all the rules and flooring it down the pit straight from Strawford centre...some people !
I didnt spin once but had some epic 4 wheel slides but remained off the grass all day so very happy.

Sounds epic Jon, glad you had a relatively good day after the recent traumas, may give you that lift again to continue with Westy. Do love Coombe but it's a two day trip from here, to be comfortable. Glad you enjoyed yourself even though not in the Westy, though that may well have propelled you off the track again in the conditions.
Sadly no longer with us, RIP Ray, 9 Feb 2021

yeah abit like the Caterham lol..wish i got a piccy...orange caterham....covered in chunks of mud and grass....only bit clean little wiper bits on windscreen. :))

Ok Jon, I have to ask here even though is not rotary related. But you are electrical guru ;)

So, I have Toyota Rav4 2litre petrol. At the moment obd scanner says that "lambda heater" wont work. My friend checked lambdas plug and we found out that it is not getting ground signal. So thats why lambda doesent work. Any idea what could be wrong with it? Getting quite desperate... :/

Whats the fault code mate?

If its a 4 wire... the 2 wires the same colour are the heater and should have continuity.. and the 2 wires left should be 2 different colours....again these 2 should have continuity are the lamda circuit that the ecu uses to run the car....sounds like there is a break on the latter....beep test with a multi meter...the outer screw is not the neutal for tge circuit but should  a chassis earth but has no bearing on the circuit 02. If its the front lamda circuit important to get model specific to run the car right if rear 1 not so important as only monitoring cat...try that for now....

Just re read mate....heater circuit nothing to worry about ...but to get rid of light needs changing....it warms up probe on start up...soz at work.

re japi

Code is P1135, Heated oxygen sensor- heater circuit response (bank1 sensor1)

My friend tested those plugs and wires with multimeter and beeper. No ground to so signal. I dont understand...  :( So, there might be wire broken or broken ecu...?

This car uses four lambda units, so it runs good but there is that stupid fault code

Ok so need to test heater circuit on all 4 if all 4 are showing continuity then yes the specific driver in the pcb on the ecu is burnt out. Google the code for rav4 and should tell you which o2 sensor its is bank 1 sensor 2 etc...im getting battered at work today woohoo.

The 2 same colour wires are heater circuit test on beep forget ground...simple continuity test of those 2 same colour wires at o2 plug .

Bank 1 sensor 1 is usually  the first 1 after engine in the exhaust..toyota usually stick 2 in manifold and you disconnect 1 and code read to determine sensor 1 or 2. Is it 1.8vvti engine?

re japi

2.0vvti. It has 4 lambdas.

But I have to say that Im massive fu**in moron! I was looking at the wrong side lambda. We just checked those connections and sensors and found out that one lambda was broken but it was on other side that I thought. So car is OK now. I feel so embarrassed now...

But thanks for your help mate! :) much appreciated
