That noise from camera is really annoying! :)

In first session, was suspension setup same that you used in Silverstone? Lots of body roll...

Other than that, looks good. Have you figured out that sound from rear? Oh, and you might consider more gentle gear changes... ;)

I set suspension to soft for drive home from Silverstone and left as is. Realised on first sess....nice n firm now.
Think the rear end thud is the exhaust...its solid though...got 2 more to post....
Brakes are my number 1 concern atmo. Spongy and spongier throughout sessions meaning having to brake earlier....its all new fluid dot 4 motul 650...

and the last 1 ...got my arse handed tome by an Accord type R....owner said standard.....chinny chinny chin...i had 1 and it did not go like that.

Fair play though giving it the beans he was weaving all over my rear end so i thought id let him go and see what hes got...i struggled to stay intouch. his track etiquette was alot tobe desired though so that is why i think he pulled a gap and i had spongy brakes  :))

Watched the first couple of videos so far - interesting "off" moment at your "favourite" part of the Castle Combe Circuit  ;)

Car seems to be going well - you've done a great job in getting back into racing trim  :)

I have loads of pics to sort through, but here are a couple of you....

Not sure what happened for the "off " think a braking issue...the nearside rear wheel is really heavy with brake dust again compared to others including front suggesting it may be dragging a bit.The instability came from the rear a bit like braking and turning at the same time which is big no no.
I was really surpised at the amount of people braking over avon rise as well which is pretty hairy if your following as you have to scrub your speed as well else youll run into the back off them....but i do think the avon rise crest is less intense since resurface.
Ive checked car over today and still running lol had 1 oil burp first session and sweet spot seems tobe a 1/3 up dipstick.
Blow on exhaust seems to worsening....needs a looksee underneath.

Ok, I see. Cause in Silverstone there where no body roll :)

I wonder why those brakes are spongy... Do you still have ABS unit on, but not using it?

Oh, I thought you sorted that oil burp thing...

Anyhoo, cars performance and your driving looks good, especially when you can go flatout in your hometrack

That silverstone national circuit totally different to Combe basically flat with long sweeping curves....combe is bumpy with chicanes and off camber corners....i like em both tbh. Abs is still on. Its air in system or old fluid gotta be im happy rears are fully bled with new fluid ill rebled fronts....if no good then ill put a new master on. Im pretty heavy on brakes. Infact i dont really have any finesse atall....floor it.... brake....turn in abit off throttle...floor it...wait til last second....brake like mad..turn in...move steering wheel about abit....simples.

Yes true, totally different tracks...

Abs still on??? Really? Maybe you should get rid of it...? Cause I noticed that you are heavy on brakes. And in track racing you should be... I mean that car is capable to brake really late and you have guts to do it. So ABS is just messing things up. And what I can remember, abs in early FD´s is crap...

Jon, ABS was the first thing I removed when I decided to go track route.

Thanks for the passenger ride... we even managed a conversation at certain points around the track, even though the FD was wallowing around a bit with the suspension set to 'soft' !!!  :-[ Still at least you coped with it.

Sounds like just minor jobs to get the FD closer to track friendly (exhaust rattle etc).

Interesting sums....on 888s both the fd and Westy are 1.19/1.20 clear track lap times....so fd on slicks could be 1.17....
The 1 with the biggest potential to hit my 1.14 target is the fd!

What did you think Chris? Jon´s a good driver. Isnt that car amazing, when you think about price what Jon paid? Ofcourse Jon has done lots to it but still...

Umm. So Westy and FD can lap similar times around Compe? I thought Westy is faster...
