I don't know everything but all the stuff I come across on the interwebs I pay attention too and remember it AND the books I have read. Even if you need a fuel upgrade which I'd do anyway as you will want more power at some point, you could potentially have a full single turbo setup for 1000-1200 which is cheap. All depending if the turbo kit is kosha

My memory is shit! Thats my prob. Im gonna ask some questions!

Lol. You could join fduk and rx7 club but you get a lot of smart asses on there saying use the search button. Which is stupid because Internet forums are for discussions

Yeah not going there....learn it for yourself....im only on here and lurk elsewhere...ive read alot off stuff by robinette last night and ive printed off stuff into folders like i did with the rx8 loom stuff....its in my head muffled quick flick though pages in folders and all crystal clear again.....

asked a lot of question...however returns not excepted on that item, which does not inspire confidence !

well im armed with this for today, convinced ive got a slow acting solenoid due to being stood so will be having a looksee.....on the solenoids they have some brass sintered exhausts....rust and berry mush in em perhaps...gonna start with them.

No returns on the single turbo? Let carl have a look at things, he's always got stuff laying around and always at good prices

boosted

If i go single with that turbo i need bigger secondary s. And a FPR?  The new walbro 255 enough?

If you go down this route providing you don't go mental turbo, the Walbro will be fine, you need a Rising Fuel Rate regulator.

Stock 550cc primary's work with most 400bhp ish set up's be be warned when it comes to the 1680cc secondary s as there are a lot of junk Chinese stuff on the market, also ensure you get petrol ones and not 1680's for LPG.

All the best Clive

Cheers Clive. If i can fix this creep issue and get the twins rebuilt with a satifactory outcome with seller ill stay twins but if it continues to do my head in ill go single. Lol.

Do you have to put resistors in with the 1680s when using an apexi ecu?

There are other injectors available too, the ID 2000s, but the smaller injectors are good too help idle control from what I understand?

The port exhausts are partially blocked..so even if the solenoid operate theres still a back pressure...they are being steam cleaned....i see a A&E trip on the horizon...

Fitted lots of 1680's over the years to cars with Apex's and never used resistors.

I suggested that injector set up as not only tickover stays happy but also off boost you will find good mpg.

When my FD was on a GT35 it was better on fuel that with the twins on board

BTW, properly rebuilt twins will get on for costing the same money as a good new single Turbo.

With a single you will get more off boost cruising so you can save more fuel when getting too and from the track
