not sure on the handling, the suspension hasnt been looked at mate, its literally been fitted to the car and not moved since.  I did used to sail it through the corners before though, it was set up to be steered with the throttle previously, but all of that was done with the suspension.

Engine mount bolts with sealant is to try and fix oil pan oil leak, youll find plenty of info if you google it.

Sump reseal job is generally engine out or subframe drop off job, either way you have to support the engine from above, its a right pain as im sure youve found out.  I just mash more sealant in and let it leak a bit (as you can tell!)

front plate wise i just used to stick one on the dash and run without any other time.  youd be surprised how many plod dont notice, in four years i only got it mentioned twice and was never pulled over because of it (Was always in petrol stations)

CJR has a good point about the heat shield for the engine mount. thats why i never fitted the new factory ones - i wanted to  make a new heat shield from the material that i think was in the plastic red box i gave to you with the car.  Without it, itll melt the standard bush and itll go bye bye!

sorry for the long response/recovering questions already covered, I been in mexico for two weeks! (Not having problems with my door handles in the 28c heat hahahah)

Glad the MOT went through all good! looking forward to seeing it working again, got home an hour ago my flat was like bloody outdoors (live on me own and heatings been off)

first thing i did was fire up the heating and second was come check on here see how the ex wife is doing lol

p.s if the turbos aint working right all the solenoids are now over by the ABS pump.  Theres a really old printout of the circuits in the workshop manual, some of it may be illegible now.  I tried to look for my original copy i saved off but cant find it (Sorry)

theres a bloke called saxyman on rx7club.com that made the kit.  I THINK it was the 5 solenoid kit (count them)

if you post up over there no doubt someone will have the original jpg with the full solenoid routing etc. Spares for those solenoids are all readily available from RS components for tuppence (or were last time i checked a few years ago)

Cool cheers mate mot tomoz...i missed wed mot as could open drivers door lol. Im changing 2 bushes on rear outer wishbone then she is getting 4 wheel alignment done just itching to go for a spin. Got the solenoid diagram just in case.

well i drove my fd for the first time to go for mot. ( last mot 2010)....pretty much as to be expected a mixture of fails and advisorys but all needs doing. classic car ownership  8)

most straight forward bolt off bolt on but recent headlight work to no avail no pattern on dipped both sides so need to make a decision on what direction to take.

anyways no full throttle action far to wet and slippery and with geo needed not a good idea...would end in tears.

gotta look at the iacv as well as stalling out at junctions.

wish it was nice n dry got the impression it would go like a scalded cat. :-*

fun getting on ramp with the bitch clutch. will be fine when i get used to it.

time to spend some cash....cant take it with you!

theres a typo on fail sheet....its the rear pillow ball bushes that require replacement top wishbone to hub....not the front.

:( Sorry to hear of the fail Jon - but at least it's not rusty with welding needed; all bolt on stuff, as you say.

Damn. But those are minor stuff. Should be in streets soon :)
Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

Its no worries id been round it and under it so knew what i was expecting...i reckon all done £500 only headache is lights....what todo. The pillow ball bushes and front discs are mucho money...personally front discs are fine some small hairline cracks to be expect with track work but there on the list and will be done...not good idea to argue with tester...he is a good mate of mine so what he says todo i do.
