triple wrapped the downpipe with some spare heat wrap.
you can see the leak on the corner of the sump now the engine mount off.

where i spent a few hours today

turbo side heat got to it.. DP wrapped and heatshield on

coolant seems to be happy now.

so tomoz new oil n filter....BUT today heard a metallic type noise around turbos....poss start off a blow NO! all fine from below could feel any blows and nut check good...have to wait n see.
Finished tomoz. well Phase 1 will be finished.

Yeah mate felling alot better had more surgery friday seems to have done the trick...running a freeflow hks backbox now. Cranking it up to get it done b4 the japfest deadline.

Took solid mounts off Grant. Bobfish advised to get them off as causes to much vibration and blows on turbos as shakes nuts loose....ive gone back to standard and have a engine dampner to go on....the solids where horrible to be honest everything shakes.

Ill have a look in a mo....its got the mazdaspeed power plant frame. That stiffens it all up. Whole lot is solid. If its too slack i can get some intermediate mounts poly or summit to work.

I was just thinking of you have those you will get a very noisy car, especially with the gear box brace. Diff brace not too bad tbh, I had one on mine but you could hear it starting to whine a bit after a day's punishment at santapod lol

Dont mind the noise its the vibration thats bad.

I can't see the mounts giving the vibration though? The engine barely has any movement in it at all, simply because it's a rotary, not like piston engines

Well leak free on restart with fresh oil n filter...wait n see after some heatcycles and driving if hold ups...does seem on tickover a bit more civilised on the standard mounts.

prob paranoia but ive got a little vid clip if peeps can have a listen...got a noise around the turbos....not sure if just exhaust pulses...there no smoke others than heat wrap curing. am i hearing things?
