sussed the lights,,,,ended up on a kitcar forum as these are used extensively on all manner of kitcars....they produce a flat beam no 15 deg kicker to the left as required by uk mot....but this flat beam is produced by a v pattern and you simply rotate the lens left or right to get the desired kicker. this is what i found last night.....instructions in the box would have been nice when a lens has top written on it thats where you put it! Apparently many people have had fails with these lights and a simple rotate of lens gives the desired output.
head hurts now lol!

It was cheap off a mate as beat up and needed some work which ive done.
Had enough of headlights today given me the hump. They give the right pattern but need to be adjustable to get pattern whilst inside housing which is proving difficult. Rethink and have another go tomoz.

I didn't realise that subarus were lacking in so much power. 2.0 turbo and only just over 200hp! Haha no wonder my neighbour was impressed when I told him my FD was around 340 hp, as he was used to subarus

Jdm 1s better....better turbo and less cats... for a grand i could get it to 300bhp properly tuned did with my last 1. But then less reliable at this power with  80k on clock should do 130k no probs if it dont rust to pieces b4.
Wife had a classic wrx v limited years ago a 95...thing came from Japan with trick suspension and god knows what fettled under bonnet handled sublime and went really well no lag linear power....different car to my wagon but it was cheap and wanted a car for work n back that i could tow with. It can tow the westy but not the fd!  Over on weight.

you would be a star if you could  ;D ;D ;D ;D :D :D :D ....im trying to get her an mot before next operation which will put me outta action again!

ive learnt alot about dipped headlights...blimin minefield...motor bikes have flat dip cars have a left kick uk and right kick euro. but whilst i now have a dipped pattern emitted from both headlights they need to be directed in not straight out as i have set....i have no facility todo with the 1s i bought....ive found some more but goona be another 200 odd quid with then fabricating brackets etc.

ive removed some steel where the pop ups bolt onto but i can fabricate something in ally....rock and hard place lol!
