Yesterday I was checking our car sales add... Cheapest taxfree rx-8 was 4800â,¬ and cheapest taxed and road legal was 5500â,¬... damn...

Taxing is based how old car is. Also you can get some relieves from taxes if car is damaged. (when you are importing car)
Im not sure how much taxes in rx-8 is now, but I´m quessing 2000â,¬ maybe. Also, this tax depends on car purchase price and comparison tax based on other similar cars.

Then the "comparison car tax". In year 2005 FD´s comparison was Porcshe 911 turbo. So automaticly tax was high. Our cars have out 75% tax so comparison tax will always be ridicilous.

Im not sure how that taxing goes nowadays, but back then if your FD cost around 5000â,¬ in japan, imported to here, and you would have to pay about 5000â,¬-8000â,¬ tax for that car...

Then registeration is about 150â,¬ for imported cars...
