As you will all know by now Mazda have the centre stage at the Goodwood Festival of speed this year.

I will keep you informed if  I get more  news, but I have just found out today that along with the 787B  and IMSA cars that will run, Mazda USA are digging their Daytona  Gen 1 RX-7 out of their museum to bring it over for us to see .

Real long shot, but Goodwood want  Racing Beats Land Speed RX-7's if possible and  Racing Beat are talking to Mazda USA who own the cars to see if this is possible.

Goodwood asked if the 242 mph FD could run up the hill but Racing Beat tell me it has a 2.1 ratio diff and that the car needs to be pushed up to 80mph before the 950BHP takes over, so I cant see that happening even if it comes over, still it would be great to see these cars in the flesh  :)

whats the date clive and are the club doing a stand for this its ok i found out and looked at ticket prices would love to go but not at those prices factor in a hotel if you can get one in the area and then the cost of fuel etc etc its  a no for me  :( I would love to go but i got massive commitment with a close relative and would have to pay for that as well, so any one going take lots of picks and post them 8)

Tony, this should be the chance of a lifetime for Mazda fans because each year, the FoS Central Feature pays tribute to the achievements of an individual marque, and the spectacular installation planned to honour Mazda’s contribution to the world of motorsport and motoring this summer is destined to be a real crowd-pleaser â€" as well as playing perfectly to the Festival’s 2015 theme to be held on 25th-28th June

BTW you wont find club stands at this event its mainly all about jaw dropping motorsport cars from all over the world  :)

This year will see Mad Mike return to Goodwood  with a  twin turbo, 26B four-rotor Mazda rotary engine in an MX-5 thats producing well over 1.000 BHP

Last year Mazda didn't know who this guy was when he came to Goodwood with his 3 rotor FD -------------------they now sponsor him

Here's his run up the hill ----------------enjoy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mY3tX7L_TfM
