Right, we're in!! Obviously we can't do anything the easy way, so we'll meet you in Calais and convoy with you, hopefully in a significantly quieter car (thanks for the tip Chris!). No need for a hotel as we are staying with friends 30 mins from the show so we'll see you on site on the Saturday.

The Apollo hotel has rooms up to 30% cheaper via booking.com - we just rebooked the same room and saved 170 euros which is just about enough for ice creams  :-)

Just rebooked room including breakfast at £286 or â,¬392 for the 3 nights, â,¬105 cheaper than when we booked direct with the hotel chain which I have now cancelled.

Don't forget to update your travel information for the tunnel https://www.eurotunnel.com/Apis/

You can obtain your booking reference and the password from the email booking confirmation that was emailed to you.

A couple of tips, Enter your birth date and passport expiry date Year first then month and then date as it will recall the wrong information.

Our plan is to meet at the Folkstone shuttle around 9.30am on the Friday 10th July, which should leave enough time to get something to eat & drink before we depart.

I am trying to sort out stopping locations on route in order that we can regroup should we get split up on route.

If any one knows of places to stop, please post on here.
