I bought a kg parts secondary rail for my T2 13BT engine.
I\'m trying to get all the parts so i can replace the oem secondary rail.

The KG rail is tapped at 3/8 NPT, so i\'m assuming i can fit this adaptor:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AN-6-AN6-AN-06-to-3-8-NPT-Straight-Adapter-/150448498095?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item23076de5af

to the kg rail then add this adaptor to fit into the oem lines?

Will the above push on adaptor fit oem fuel lines?
Do i need to use red fuel tape on the bolt to screw into the rail?
Where can i buy O rings for my bosch 1680 injectors?

Thanks in advance :Thumbsup!

Hi buddy. These are the exact parts I used on my re scent build.
I used all braided hose to used all AN fittings. You should not need any sealants on NPT fittings as they are designed to seal as they are screwed in.

I can\'t vouch for if those push fittings will work with your OEM lines.

Regarding the o rings if your talking about fuel resistant o rings for the top of the injectors I can supply them.

If your talking about the ring adaptors on the bottom for the LIM then you should have got these with your rail.

ok cool, thanks man :)
at least im on the right tracks, im always about to start a job then realise i not got all the parts i need :(

i thought about going braided lines but  more headache for me to find right sizes etc and need to get car sorted before tax runs out end june/july.

If you have a couple of fuel resistant o rings that would be great! So many different assortments its worst than picking a wife lol

Can you drop me an email please regarding the o rings?

oh another question you might be able to help me with. would you know where i can get an exhaust gasket to fit between the turbo and downpipe, think outside diameter was 4.24" not sure on inside diameter.

Only reason for this is the downpipe and turbo flange does not fit flush so some exhaust gas comes out the gap or would silicone(?) exhaust sealant do the job? not sure if those sealant can withstand the temps of rotaries.

maybe can get my fc running for rotorstock :)

Liam,

Exhaust sealant will be no use on the back of the turbo - far too hot and too much gas ;-)

It should be a metal gasket on the back there, with some metal lock nuts to hold the pipe on.  What turbo are you using on yours, it\'s not the stocker is it?

Thanks Dave, will have borgwarner S300 on there. fingers crossed wont be too big .91 AR hotside.
It will be V band to the downpipe fingers crossed again the sizes match up.

Where would i be able to find a metal gasket?

If it\'s V Bank, it won\'t need a gasket there?  Unless the Back of the turbo to the V band flange needs the gasket?

only thought to add gasket as when the v band is on, the turbo flange and dp flange do not sit flush and there is a slight gap on one side. maybe about 1 or 2 degress off from each other.

not a major prob i guess as the exhaust is free flowing.

oh, the oem secondary rail has 3 lines going into it. fuel in, fuel out at wither end. then the third is for fuel pressure?
How would i blank the 3rd line off as the kg rail only has slot for fuel in and fuel out?

The oem secondary rail normally has the fuel pressure regulator on it, I am guessing you have aftermarket one, so that vacuum line should be driving your new FPR instead, when you swap rails.

thanks prof! :)

my sard fpr is all plugged in already and have a vac line going to it already. i\'m guessing can just plug the 3rd line into a blank nipple on the uim?

got half the parts i need, just waiting on the barb 6 an connector ad o rings form aston then can swap over. so excited :)

then when turbo comes, bolt on and map :)

Just trace the vac hose back to where it comes from and blank it off with a cap

Aston: what did you do witht he vac line that was plugged into the oem secondary rail?
Plug that into the external fpr? or can just blank off?

I already have a vac line to the FRP before when i had oem secondary rail.

Thanks :)
