I don\'t know what it was like before as the car has been without an engine for a very long time! But the clutch pedal feels very low to me. I would say only the last 25% is doing anything.
Chain of events are as follows. I Put the engine in the other week and forgot to connect the pull mechanism up. Jumped in the car the other day to see how the clutch felt and pushed the end out of the clutch cylinder! So I took it out of the box and pushed it all back together and connected the clutch arm up. Then pressed the clutch and the pedal went to the floor and stayed there. Figuring it had got air in I bled it out Pumped the pedal and noted it was only getting resistance low down. Tried a few more pumps bleeding it with no air coming out and still the pedal is very low?
I also noticed when I lock of the bleed nipple with the pedal on the floor and pull it up I have to press it up and down by hand a good few time to get any resistance at all which doesn\'t sound right?
It has a twinplate clutch which I assume is thicker than a stock one so arm on the clutch starts further out but I presume it should pump all that extra travel out..
Any thoughts.. Do I need to bleed it right through? Have I knackered the clutch cylinder?

Providing your happy the arm clicked onto the release bearing this sounds like nothing more than you need to adjust the clutch rod that goes into the master cylinder behind the clutch pedal

You should sort this with only a couple of 12mm & 10mm spanners needed
All the best Clive

Thanks for the reply Clive. So you can adjust the arm then. I tried looking under there but it was cover in cobwebs and dust!
I presume the arm cannot half engage anyway? It either locks in or pulls out? So is it common to have to adjust the arm after fitting a twin plate clutch?
