Still deciding which turbo we are going to use at the moment.

Big big big big big :Giggle:flamed:burnout

Get the quick spool Tial housing for that turbo Liam and the 2rotor will work well with it. And a bit of gas;)

re japi

Well, 10,4 and 140 is impressive. :)

Umm, didnt take 3rd gear in high rpm??? Is that problem in every stock box?

Yeah, I bet next season you will open can of woopass ;)

What Liam means is he held it in 2nd gear and then to get to 3rd had to wait for rpm to drop,  3rd gear over the line rather than change to 4th gear to save some time, so that was 12,000 rpm.

We cant do amazing times still cos stock rear end. We will certainly improve over this year though.

The synchros don\'t like high rpm shifting. There are things you can do to help them work at high rpms. Such as polishing them, removing teeth etc

There are a couple of books on amazon that help to understand and teach how to rebuild a gear box to be stronger and higher spec

HaywardRotary

Straight cut gears and dog shift engagement make for quick changes.
Hopefully we\'ll will have that soon.

Rob runs a stock rear end with aftermarket 1.5 way diff in the 8s, I thought Liam was running a 1.5 or 2 way diff?

yep and in theory you should have a stronger rear end than robs too as you have willdays old axles right?

you\'ll break the diff casing before you actually break the diff itself!

How deep into the 8s will it last though?

BlitzBoy

Rob didnt break anything rear related last year at all after several runs in the 8s, where things will break is the launch, if it survives the launch then I cant see why you couldnt run consistant mid 8s no problem

most aftermarket irs diffs do not survive long on the strip due to being installed incorrectly with correct lash and contact for crown and pinion not being set right.

my advice to you guys would be, get seat time, change small things at a time, get those right then move on or you will be forever chasing your tail, but hey, what do i know

hope to see you at the track next year running the numbers liam :)

*edit, to date, 1 driveshaft inner cup ;) no fancy axles or diff braces, just good susp and geometry, a couple of orings will be your savior on an irs car*

Are going to change hole rear end? Or just going to improve that old one?
