I am in the process of buying a RX7 which is completely standard apart from a De cat which was done when the car had an engine rebuild 6 weeks ago, i will have a couple of grand (£2) to spend on the car, wome of which is going to the wheels (the new Lenso Reizens). The rest i want  to spend on the engine itself (about £1200)

What i am asking is where to start, i\'m assuming Exhaust, induction kit, turbo timer?

Apart from the exhaust can i fit the induction kit and turbo timer myself.

Who should i get the stuff from?

if yer thinking straiught thru exhaust, specially if it\'s already been decated just reread that bit, it maybe cunning to put an ECU at the top of you wish list & will leave the door open for pretty much wotever mods you fancy & hopefully will stop you running lean & blowing the engine which inevitably means a re-evaluation of priorities
Not trying to scare you mate & it sounds like you have some nice plans & be good to see you in the rotary world...
Enjoy

Would you suggest a piggy back ECU or a full on remappable ecu like the power FC.

Would you recommend a Turbo Timer as one fo the first things to get?

Thanks for the help

I would not bother with the turbo timer - just take it steady for the last minute or two of your drive.  Or let it idle for a minute or so before shutting it down.

I have one in mine but don\'t tend to use it much and wouldn\'t be bothered if it wasn\'t there.

Good fun in the work carpark though - "Did that car just stop itself!!??" - Knight Rider stylee.

or you can get a nice TT as part of an alarm then you can actually talk to kit & have him shut off when you say (OK press button) http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008\' target=\'_blank\'>http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/23_4_167.gif\' border=0> lol
Most people go for the power FC ECU as most experaince of tuning these on FD in the UK

Power FC, Microtech LT8S, some are running Motec, Knightsports and I believe HKS have a FD friendly option. For mapping ability in the UK I\'d go either PFC or Microtech.

GT4088 turbo   Walbro fuel pump   1000cc injectors   custom V-Mount   Blitz Boost Controller (ok so the boost controller is still to fit)

Loud? Hell yes! :D

Yep, I would agree with getting a P FC and mybe the commander too as anything more than one or two mild mods will up the BHP and make it run lean and detonate with the standard ecu,  and it opens the door to more power and mods further down the road.

Personally I have the PFC, ported engine, filters and straight through exhaust - not exactly sure of power but it out-drags my mates 4.5 Cerbera which has 360bhp which can\'t be bad....and for half the price....;-)
so many horses, so few parts....

Turbo timers are bad. Dont boost in last few miles before you shut down the car and you\'ll be fine. Also, turn on the fans.

I\'d say the priority for spending the money is on Upgrading the ECU and getting it mapped. Since the CAT has already been ditched. If you go for the PFC, I think most folk are throwing in free commanders just now so you will be able to use the monitor mode for keeping an eye on things.

Depending on what ECU you go for, you should still have some money left for the exhaust . So you should be able to get it all done at the some time.

I wouldn\'t bother with the turbo timer or the induction kit personally.
Mines Black and dirtier than Donatos. But hey, no-one asked for a good clean fight.
