Could anyone tell me if this looks like the correct exhaust manifolf for a 1992 FD, as I am looking into buying one.

Another angle

It looks good, but the wastegate pipe looks like it would be very close the the steering column.

If its from the US, I would take a good guess that it will not fit.

That looks like one of the obx manifolds. Walls are too thin.

It will fit,  I have that manifold on my FD.  BUT...... as above, the walls are thin... very thin......

It looks great but once its on you cant see it, but all that beauty comes at a cost.  They ground all the welds off   Mine cracked after about 1000miles.  If you know a friendly welder who will reweld all the joins for you and brace it a little it will be fine,  mine is fine now.  The waste gate fits, but it is a bugger to work on as it is close to the subframe.  Mine is RHD.

The ad says lifetime warrenty against cracking, and it is from the US.  Do you have to have a external wastegate for it or does it just bolt straight in place of the old exhaust manifold.  The walls are 2.7mm thick, is this not very thick as I don\'t know?

this manifold will take a turbo with a TO4 flange so the turbo would be a TO4E, TO4S,R or T66 etc etc which would all need an external waistgate.  I dont know of a turbo big enough with internal wastgate.

You might need to do a little research before you buy one as there are lots of other things you need to use this manifold.

I paid 80 quid for mine and it would have cost me that to send it back.  It is the same manifold as the Team FX TO4R kit for sale on here, he says he had to a load of welding on his.  I dont think the walls are 2.7 mm thick, eitherway, it just means it is bit noisier than a nice thick cast one.
