Quote from: jpc;866559They used mine, an unmodified blue 2000 RS. It was a good day out and I was well looked after by the crew.  I got to see some Aventadors and McLaren P1\'s testing.

I\'ll let you know when the show is going out, not supposed to say yet.

Great job, it\'s really important to make the most of these opportunities to let more people know about the wonderful rotary, and a stock blue 2000 FD is perfect for the job.

look forward to the show airing.

Is Ed going to do a V8 swap? :)

You could always tell us what show it isn\'t
I started with nothing and I have most of it left

As you may have guessed, the show is Wheeler Dealers. The date of the RX7 episode has been announced as March 31st on Discovery. Happy viewing.

The description is :

"With its legendary mix of unique technology and awesome performance, Mazda’s coupe is unlike any other. Mike finds one that appears to have nothing wrong with it and challenges Edd to make a good car even better. But these cars are complex and unforgiving. So while Edd handles with care, Mike sorts out some stylish mods to make the RX7’s looks match its performance."

Mine will be the blue one you see at the start.  Some of the work on the project car was done by WGT who look after my two rotaries.

After this, several million more people will know what an RX7 is.

Cool, should be good to watch. I\'m not a fan of the graphics or the wheels on the finished car but they try to be different so its not going to be to everyones taste.

I wonder who sold them the car and who ended up buying it. Reg M690 UKM

"A stunning and completely unique example of Mazda’s RX7, featuring professional modifications including uprated Radtech radiator and intercooler, and an Apexi programmable ECU. Remapping carried out by rotary engine experts WGT has increased power to just under 300bhp. Externally the car has a striking graphic livery with hydrographic snakeskin wheels, mirrors and rear spoiler, combined with a dramatic body wrap. The car drives and handles brilliantly, is relatively low mileage with just 89,000 on the clock, and is in excellent overall condition."

phew I thought they modified your perfect blue 2000 spec their for a minute!!

Actually get rid of the graphics, the wheels with red against the silver works, quite good effort

As much as I like Wheeler Dealers I\'m pretty disappointed that they\'ve opted to use the RX7 in their show, and after seeing the photo in the above post even more so, seems to be more fitting on the front page of Max Power or Fast Car.  Would of appreciated if they could have done what they did to the MK3 Range Rover and taken a dog and made it remotely classy.... not the other way round.

Only just my moany opinion though.
