How I wish my car looked like this!

Nice work

Ade
I don\'t need to upgrade my stock turbo to beat your ass!

Get your finger out, get it on the road and start driving it then!!! (B.Martin 25/2/12)

Thanks ade

We had a bit of a nervous time this morning as it went in for its first mot in my ownership, but I\'m very pleased to say that it passed with no advisories at all :)

There was a great sunset on the way home from the workshop today, I wish I had my proper camera on me but I still managed to take these pictures with my phone

wow, the picture of the arch behind the liner is amazing. I think my underside is just going to fall apart as soon as I show it a wire brush.

Great find and even better that you have the enthusiasm and patience to put in all the work you have given the car to bring it back to such wonderful condition,

A car to be very proud of :D
All the best Clive

Thank you for looking after this car :)

Thanks guys :-)

I feel that I am not really an owner of this car, more a caretaker, and my mission is to restore and preserve it, I feel it would be a crime to modify such an original car.

So with that in mind I have taken another step forward in returning it to showroom condition with restoring the original wheels, the faces have been fully polished and the areas within the spokes are now gloss black, having purchased an original brochure I believe this to be how the wheels were when the car was new.

I\'m very pleased with how they look, the only thing I will be doing is fitting 25mm hub centric spacers to the rears as I feel they just sit too far inside the arches which spoils the look of the car somewhat.

Am loving this thread Garath. There is certainly a very good case for keeping it stock with the odd asthetic improvement along the way.

Hi guys,

Nothing really to report as an update, other than it having been put away for winter really, it will only come out on sunny days now.

But I have a question, I would like to get a bit more power out of it, I know the racing beat exhaust can give 60bhp, but it\'s rather expensive, so I\'m thinking I could get one made, but what do I do with al, the air pump stuff, does the racing beat exhaust do away with that?

not sure if you know about this site - http://www.fc3spro.com/TECH/tech.html

quite useful. go to the mild to wild power upgrade section

hi racing beat refer to the early S4 T2 which had less power about 180 bhp! than the uk version which were all S5  & to get that u would also need a fuel cut defender, &   any good 3"  straight through exhaust from turbo back would give u the same power as the rb system,  MY s5 T2 made 238 bhp with these mods :  blitz sonic power  induction,  blitz nur spec turbo back straight through exhaust,  rb  fcd, & 10mm magnecor ht leads!

Racing Beat is worth it Garath, worth every penny I assure you. To compliment the car I wouldn\'t put a huge jap slash cut item on it.

Seen this car in the flesh at JAE, my HIRXY and Garaths car saw numerous folks stop and talk to us. Came to say goodbye and took 50minutes to get away as people kept enquiring about the cars!

Anyone know where I can get some rear shocks for the car?
