i was thinking (seems like i do alot of that these days) i want to put a turbo on my 82, anything anyone can recommend?

Don Pamponi

Well the Elford kit is the simplest & cheapest way.  Check mine out when I get the new turbo on.  Tomorrow all going well (When does it ever tho?)
Now with added boost!  :burnout

how much is the Elford kit and roughly how hard is it to find? im really interested in build up my motor now

Well I found one pretty quick just by asking around on this web site.  I dont know how commen they are or whether it was just good timing.

They only made like 140 or so Elford turbos, but like most 1st gens there\'s probably loads going to the knackers yard \'cos of rust.  You see em on ebay now & again.  Otherwise its getting a jap or US kit if you can find one, which means fuel injection, ECU etc.  Or maybe a 13B conversion, thts gotta be favorite for power but I think its an engine/gearbox/wiring loom transplant.

Elford\'s defo cheapest if you can source one.

Hi Don,
I take it you managed to find someone to put a positive carbon seal in your turbo?   Whats left to do before its up and running?

400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!
