Whats this switch for?

Took the FD for it\'s MOT, it passed the emission part but failed as there was no indication that the fog light was on.

As i\'ve never used the car in fog never used the fog light, anyway as the car is an import it never had one from the factory but a switch which looks Std is used as the fog light switch.

What was this switch used for original?

On the rear it has 4 connectors only 2 are used and what looks like a light it but this doesn\'t come on,

Any ideas? can the light be made to come on.

Without seeing the back of the switch can\'t say 100%, but I think this post should put you on the right track, as it sounds like you need the other two wins wired up:

meant to be a dial dimmer switch there, looks like someone has substituted it for a light switch or fog light switch for some reason
