Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

Cash is king at the moment and if your looking for japanese performance look to be buying standard un modified or you will end up in the same boat as everyone else trying to off load highly modified cars that no one wants and that is accross the board, skylines, rx7, supra, evo etc

How practical does it have to be?

There\'s no way diesel and performance should ever be in the same sentence!! Diesel and tractor is the right terms

Ever driven a TypeR? Seems churlish to discount something not having driven the car.

Sure, the look may not be to everyone\'s tastes, but it\'s a helluva lot of car for the money.

With a budget of 16K....2 cars....
Bmw /Merc tourer diesel for the week...
and a big single tubby RX7 for the weekend...on classic insurance!

Problem solved.

There is something about the Subaru that is just a turn off for me, i have had 3 Evo\'s before and i appreciate there is not much between them but cant stand the Subaru\'s:(

For the huge powered ones i think this has to be a major consideration, my old mint green R33 GTS is running 357bhp and is up for £4500 which is not too bad :mmmm
