New RX7 confirmed for 2017 16x Renesis

I\'m going to retract my statement about needing to be a turbo\'d motor, as the new engine is just that, a new engine! Doh. The 16x has thinner rotors, 12A width??,  but the rotors are going to be larger and also equate to a larger cc, 1600/1.6 litres, this larger rotor will give a longer stroke, so giving it better torque:D I can\'t believe I forgot about that point.

It makes me wonder that with the engine being larger in circumference will the ports be also scaled bigger? Also will the engine rev to those dizzying heights of 9500rpm??

Just read this, kinda sad actually that it\'s being remade.....90s was the era of true japanese sports cars.....leave it at that ....it\'s like the Americans remaking classic movies and ruining them. I want the rx7 to remain nostalgic....not be remade into a bumped up rx8....we all know the flop that was....and with current laws on emissions and safety I think it\'s just gonna be another car on the road. this news made me sad....to celebrate the anniversary they could build a concept... A one off where the creativity could be let loose without restriction.....hope I\'m wrong....but I\'m not expecting anything that makes me feel like I do when I drive an fd.

these ridiculous articles go round year on year, if mazda hasnt announced it, it doesnt exist the 16x exists obviously but not a single word about rx7s etc.

these magazines make up twaddle for laughs i swear.
