Hey folks, good reliable mod I want to go for is replace the stock ast. Any ideas on best ast to go for with cost in mind :)

Google wgt developments in the uk, they make a good 1. Link here http://www.wgtautodevelopments.co.uk/rx7_asts.htm

Yea I\'ve seen this one WGT have, is it good value for money? Suppose it is if it saves my engine!?

Arnie_O

Seen a couple of the WGT. Tanks they look nice and for the price are about a third the price or one from Japan
Turbocharged 192ps RX-8 running Meth Injection on an Adaptronic
Fully Bridgeported 231ps RX-8 stripped for the Track
2nd Gen RX-7 TurboII on a GT35r (show winner)

Yes they look the part! Do
They have same mountings as the stock ast?

GAVBEY

get rid of it. i use a AST removal kit

brodierx7

I\'ve heard of bypass to! If u can bypass it then what\'s the point in the ast? Where did you get your kit?

wolfie1

I have a wgt ast and yea it uses the standard mounting points

brodierx7

Well Ast or get rid of it? I\'ve read on another thread that it can damage your engine removing it? Also if ast serves no purpose then why did Mazda put it there? Would be happy to get rid if it\'s safe enough.......:3Confused

My thoughts, mazda wouldnt have put it there unless there was a good reason

brodierx7

Yea that\'s what I\'m thinking Wolfie.
