My new RX has a speedo that reads MPH but the odometer is still in KMH. Is there an easy way to change this?

bit of a thread hijack but it\'s a free bounce to the top for ya, does anyone know where the speedo & tacho wiring is on the back of dash etc for potential wiring in of after mareket guages?
Back on track thou do you mean it\'s still clocking up in kilometers or that the no on reading is still from all the km it had done previously, if it\'s the later there\'s usually loads of places in the back of car mags who can clock sorry adjust yer figures to what they should read....
If it\'s the first erm dunno i\'d presume the thing which convert ph bit to miles would do same for distance.....http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008\' target=\'_blank\'>http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_12_2.gif\' border=0>

Erm no!

Check out http://www.protech-uk.co.uk/speedo_con_delimit.htm and they should be able to help.

I\'m pretty sure that the odometer is counting up in KM\'s. It still says KM after the number. It\'s not a massive problem but I would prefer it to do miles as when I\'m following instructions e.g. after 2 miles turn left etc... it would make it a lot easier than having to do mental arithmetic on the fly!

make SURE mate, because i got mine converted and the speedo is in mph, and the odo counts miles, even though it says km after the number.

i think it\'s just too much trouble to change the km to mph because it\'s backlit. make a journey where you know the mileage, and check afterwards. or follow a mate and compare your odo readings after the journey.

Will have to give that a go then.

Alright mate,
I bought the unit for the car from this company:

So they should be able to answer any questions you have.

p.s. alarm manual should be in the post today.

GeckoGareth

Thanks for that Ian. Much appreciated.

Watch the prices of speedo converters though. Some companies are charge double what other companies do for the same thing. It pays to make some calls. Import Solutions and Japtec are both good.
