Got a ecu with a chip in that come with the turbo it\'s definitely goes with the turbo as both chip and turbo have same make name on (can\'t remember name off my head) anyways if I try to run the car with the ecu it will only just about start and run like only on 1 bank. Take plugs out coated in fuel. Put another chipped or stock ecu in its fine. Take turbo chip out put it in another ecu same thing.
I know my plugs need changing hence why I don\'t want to do this too often but is the chip for the turbo duff or just my plugs being so shot they can\'t spark past the extra fuel going in. Want advice before I go out spend   £100 on plugs to mess them up. Plugs don\'t like hard boost all the time so I know there shot.

Personally I\'d stay away from chipping it as its setup for specific mods etc, get an apexi ecu and have it tuned to your car. You don\'t want a chip causing your engine to blow up.
There are performance cars and then there is the RX-7...........

12.3 second 1/4 mile, terminal speed of 122mph (1st ever drag run on a TO4R)

engine built by....... umm me! now powered by a T51 Kai......

It shouldn\'t be chucking that much fuel in at start up though.. must have an error/corruption I would think?

iv got a knightsport chipped ecu going as my cars going to scrap soon. let me know :p

Ps. works great, ill make a new thread as theres a load of other junk that doesnt wanna be scrapped.

Is it a chipped ecu or is it a piggy back 1 such as a unichip? As piggy back ones can be remapped with the correct software

Is it mapped for a different set of injectors? Try using another Ecu to see if you can start on the current plugs, though they might already be fouled pretty badly.

Are your coils firing correctly?

It\'s a n734 think ecu think it\'s was on a Japanese car as it came from Japan.
My car came with the n380 ecu so dosnt have that little black relay next to the ecu. Were most cars do.
It\'s a chipped ecu not piggyback was going to go to piggy but just seamed odd this ecu dosnt work. Maybe because my car is a late UK car as said has the n380 so wondering if it\'s coz it dosnt have that idle relay as I think they got rid of it and built it into the ecu.
To answer a few questions I don\'t think one of the coils fires as when it does run it only runs on ether the front or back but will run fine with stock ecu.
I know I had idle issues with my brackbox chipped ecu as would run fine but would have very low rpm and run rough if the afm screw wasn\'t all the way in.
Just thought I would be nice to use a chipped ecu with the greddy piggyback when I get round to getting one.
Also if I put the chip in a different ecu e.g. my n380 it does the same thing. Only seams to run properly on the n380 stock chip if you use a n374 ecu or even a chip in the stock ecu you get idle problems. Will drive fine on other chip just not the one that came with the ecu.
To answer question about other injectors the answer is I don\'t know it came with the turbo and the black relay from Japan but they never said about injectors.

Might help the turbo is a t04b with 2.75" inlet with stock rx7 hot side. Physically can\'t fit a bigger turbo in without changing the exhaust manifold as it just clears the inlet manifold.
If it\'s due to having the last fc ecu in can you get chips for the n380?

Hi Mate, the chip could be stuffed, but a chipped or modified ecu is always for use with the stock turbo, bigger exhaust, bigger IC and intake, I ran an RE ecu in my car with the stock turbo and it went sweet.
You are going to need some sort of ecu you can program and bigger secondary injectors, and a modified secondary fuel rail so you can fit an after market fuel pressure reg to run your hybrid turbo, I\'m running a hybrid on mine with a power FC ecu, and supporting mods just need to get it a final map because the fueling is still not right.
If you run the hybrid with any sort of chipped or modified ecu then you will blow your motor
cheers

My plan was to use the chipped ecu with a greddy e manage ultimate. Not run chip with no ecu. I\'ve got 1000cc secondary new fuel rail fuel pressure reg loads I was just more interested in why this chip was dudd. As said I think it\'s coz of the ecu difference with mine running a n380 as all other ecus seam to have issues.

It might be over fueling as the chips programed for more fuel anyway and you are running a higher pressure in the fuel rails due to the aftermarket FPR so the primerys will flow more fuel on tick over
