Hi Guys

The small rubber pipe that runs from the power steering reservoir to the side of the pump was leaking and the cause found to be a defective jubilee clip which would not tighten.

In taking the pipe off of the pump and putting back a new clip, fluid was lost.

When I top up with new fluid, do I have to carry out any special procedure to bleed out air or just start it up turn the wheels from side to side and check the fluid level again.

Thanks

Keith

Just turn it from lock to lock a couple of times then recheck the level, then do the same again, you don\'t want the fluid to get hot whilst doing this as it expands and will give you a false reading

Mr Froggy

Just top it up and use as normal and will bleed its self.
That\'s all I have done.
I have done that on vans. Trucks. Cars all the same I think.

Thanks guys because at some stage I also want to move the oil cooler pipe away from the V mount set up, to the front of the car where Mazda put it originally.

Regards

Keith
