Unless its a spirit R I would let the letter such as RZ or any of the others influence the price, I wouldn\'t pay more than 3500, even then I would think its too much.

Thanks for the advice, Philwhites car is looking more attractive

marf

Well, it was a shed.

Here the car in all its "glory"

http://www.miletreecarstoddington.co.uk/used-cars/mazda-rx7-turbo-3dr-toddington-201210455672481

Drivers rear quarter has had paint, could see the blow in line
Panel gaps iffy EVERYWHERE
Clutch right at the top of the pedal
Brakes spongy
exhaust stank of coolant and covered the ground in coolant whilst it idled(bottle of water in one of the rear storage bins was a confidence builder!    :Giggle)
Engine/transmission mounts tired and wobbly
Interior tatty, rattly and loose
Speedo and Rev counter not working.
Stock BOV still in place as well as the Blitz BOV
Scratches and chips everywhere
PowerFC most likely missing - the hand controller was not showing any signs of life
Fog lights front and rear not working

:flamed

It has some nice mods on it, but overall it was no way worth 7K. The rear passenger wheel was flat too when I got there :2Rolleyes

I think it\'d had a non-seq conversion, there was no noticable changeover on the turbos unlike the standard 96 RB I looked at afterwards in which the changeover was noticable.

Looking at a standard rebuilt RS tomorrow too :)

Shame mate, possibly the reason it has been there so long!

dont suppose you noticed what type of diffuser it was/and condition? may tap my mate up to see if his uncle will sell it haha!

marf

Yeah I guess so, oh well. I couldn\'t pass up looking at it given the mods! It had the potential to be a really nice car.

The diffuser was in relatively good nick. I think its an RE-Amemiya copy. It wasn\'t carbon and the canards were no where to be seen.

Same as the one on this page http://www.coolkits.co.uk/acatalog/MAZDA.html

See if you can get the exhaust, I think that was a genuine REA item. Sounded really nice and not agressively loud.

adamfitz

Ah right, may have to go and take a look at it and see what i can get out of him. Chances are nothing will happen but got to be worth a punt! Never know, may get a bargain

Thanks Ed, BTW I\'m Sam, I text you a couple of weeks ago about a compression test outside London. It would have been for this car but as you can see I\'m definitely not interested in buying it  :Giggle
