Ive got the heat sensor warning permantl ylit  on the dash. The previous owner said it was the cat sensor (its decat) everything looks good on the apexi so it sounds about right.

Do i need to go hunting under the car for this wire and try and ground it. Or is there somewhere easier to access this wire without lifting it up?

What does the knock reading show on the Apexi? I think the PFC uses the heat light as a knock warning

anthony

Ill check the knock tomorrow. But i read that if its knock it will flash and not be on straight from starting

During mapping mine came on (flashing ) to indicate Knock .....have not seen it again .......dont think it should be on permanently   tbh .....hope this helps.

Do a sensor check on the pfc comander , see if the fuel temp sensor is marked
Prob that. Unless the wires are off the cat heat sensor

The knock is just a level not digits? I switched to print diguts. It was around 120 or 180 peak. Idling around 40?

All the sensors were marked last time i checked. Ill check again tonight.
I believe its just the cat sensor as thats what the previous owner stated.. Is there an easy way to tell and get to it!

Cat sensor is under the car near centre section, or you may have to remove driver seat and see if it is plugged in still
Under the carpet near trans  tunnel .

^^this^^ if the sensor is faulty just join the two wires together.

Unrelated but that air temp voltage looks high, what are your air temps in monitor?

anthony

Was about 37 at first traffic light.  then 19ish when going in to garage. Then took that pic after i stopped.

What controls that air temp?

philiwily

The air temp sensor (AIT) is under the UIM near the bulkhead.
There is a quicker reacting one (RIAT), as the standard one is pretty slow, you can get the RIAT on eBay or from a Triumph motorbike dealer.
They are about £25-£30.

Your knock level is a lot higher than I ever get. The highest its ever been is 70. It should be flashing the warning above 60. What injector duty cycles are you peaking at? Has this car been mapped for all the mods to give you peace of mind? If you press the right arrow on your commander, it will hold the peak values until you switch the ignition off.

anthony

Where would it flash a warning for the knock? If its the heat led then that is up the hole time from what i believe to be the cat which is why i want it fixed :)

The car was mapped by john on fduk before i bought it.
How do i see the injector duty? Im sure i didnt see that  under  monitir?
