Thanks for a great day.

The weather wasn\'t kind in the afternoon but the morning was fantastic :D The weather on the drive back down the M180 was terrible, really heavy rain and massive standing water !

Got back at 7pm with a chippy tea :D

Cheers again to everybody as always. See you at the next one !

Thanks for a great day at Cadwell.

Managed to get three very good runs in during the morning sessions, glad I did as the afternoon was wet and my FD and wet tracks do not mix well.

Seemed like there were a lot of smiling faces from the MRC & RX8 members after each session, so I can assume everyone else enjoyed themselves too.

Felt a little sorry for the guy with the new Lotus who stuffed it in to the barriers.

Like Shaun, the drive home was dreadful due to the torrential rain and standing water.

See some of you at Jap show Final at the end of September.

Good to hear you had a great day :Thumbs-up (or a great morning at the very least :2Rolleyes )

Really hope I can make it back to Cadwell sometime next year.

Thanks to Ian (Hypo) for organising this outing for us all.

I had 4 solid runs in the morning and went out 2 or 3 times in the afternoon, just to see what it was like! In the early pm session it was damp and grip was pretty good. Later, as it poured down, there was a lot of DSC intervention, esp at "Park", off the main uphill straight. I just love the RX-8 DSC in these conditions as a safety net :) I would never have taken a well cared for FD out there in the wet, so I think Chris and Shaun made absolutely the right decision, especially as we all witnessed the Lotus Evora excursion and the sad result of its argument with the armco:(

All in all, another very successful and thoroughly enjoyable outing.

When\'s the next one?.......:) Well, there will definitely be the "traditional" December outing to Brands Hatch; I\'ll post up some details later, but booking is already available via the Mazda on Track website. We may also possibly squeeze in another one in before then, if people pester me enough with suggestions....

Once again i enjoyed it so much that im still grinning.
I got at least 4 runs out in the morning then while spectating and making my mind up weather to go out again in the early afternoon we witnessed several cars almost loos it in the rain and  then the lotus trying to pick a fight with some armco, sadly the armco won.
So i decided to see how slippy it really was out there :), To say the least i was astounded how much grip i had in the wet  so i had my longest session of the day in the rain with hardly any cars on track :Laugh, BTH i didnt want to come in but i thought id better give the car a rest :o

I certainly wont heitate driving round a track in the wet again.
Thanks Ian for organising this and roll on the next one and count me in the december Brans hatch one :Laugh

I look forward to seeing you again at Brands Steve :Thumbs-up

Just for reference puposes  :):Laugh  I had a quick look through my in-car video and had these laptimes (all S/F line times);

Dry; best 1.56s (OK, nothing stunning, have done better on previous trips)
Damp; best 2.02s, quite pleased with that
Wet (standing water); 2.20, 2.21, 2.22, 2.23 quite pleased with the consistency, if nothing else!

:) Thankyou Shaun, what you didn\'t see was the DSC going wild at 2 or 3 places when it thought I was having too much fun :Laugh

I\'ve looked through my video and can\'t see any of you coming past. Either you weren\'t driving quick enough or, (much!) more plausibly, you weren\'t on track at the same time as me.

I did see you come past me at some point in the day, but I think I was a passenger with someone else at the time, so not on my camera.
