Rear water pipe

Anyone got any hints or tips on removing the rear water pipe, goes from back of the engine block behind the rats nest and goes up to the TB?

I need to replace it and i have my new pipe but its a tight space to get into. I have the plenum off at i was replacing the coil pack anyways.
