Right i have a leak from my radiator to my engine....ive replaced the hoses with great difficulty with out a ramp......but its been done.....now when i fill up the radiator the coolant is :censored::censored::censored::censored:ing out..... seems like its coming from the engine side.
And my question to you all is........ is there a gasket which is prone to leak where the hose is connected to the engine??

MOT next Tuesday!!  :eek::eek:

o its a 1994 FD3S type R

Check on the block at the back under where the oil filter is near the bottom of the engine, on my FC thats where the heater matrix hose connects to the block, I had a pinhole leak there and it was dripping over time due to the age of the pipe, yours might be leaking more lol

amt-automotive

there is a gasket which goes behind the water pump and seals the whole coolant tower to the block so may be that but youll have to strip alot to se it,may be a turbo return hose if its still on twins though

the leak seems to be coming from right next to the hose connected to the engine........ the coolant runs down the pipe its self so it must be right next to that!!

upper or lower coolant hose at front of engine?

gibby250983

lower coolant hose and at the front of the engine!!! changed the hoses just the week passed!!! just hoping it nothing too major!!

Have you pushed the new hose on far enough and tightened the jubilee clip up? Your jubilee clip may have been over tightened too. Check the hose for a spilt also.

Does it leak when cold? Or is it only once the car is warm?

Noticed it today when I was filling the radiator up! Was hosing out!! Started her up then it\'s seemed to stop once she was warm!! But thinking by that time the coolant was at a stable level.

Going up on the ramp tomorrow so hopefully get to see what it is!! Just wanted to know if a gasket could be a cause!

Sounds like you just overfilled it like I did once. Scary moment lol

What so there is a over filling point?? Thought it fills right up the the top!! Which ya would of thought was right!! Also dose anyone know how the get all the air out of the system?
