Thanks Jon
Going to try and keep the stock binnical as I am used to and like the RX-8 recounter plus it keeps your fuel gauge.

I did wonder if the trigger wheel saw a stand alone sensor that that could work ?

Here's all the details for the Castle Combe event this weekend the 3rd and 4th

Really rubbish after seeing the football last night that we cant have spectators in the pits and allegedly we cant even go into the spectator areas!

Thanks for the info.  Hopefully see you tomorrow at some point.  I see 8th in the race today so hope all went as expected.

OK bit of a mixed day, although a lowly 8th out of 27 starters, with the rebuilt engine needing the map tweaking, I at least found a second more than I had done before round Combe before with a 1 minute 15.1  If it rains tomorrow as promised "maybe" the car will perform a little better against the monsters on the grid, we shall see!

All the best for the race today. Unfortunately spectators only allowed between Camp and Quarry so will not be able to come and chat over the fence.

Unfortunately I decided not to race today because whilst the car was going OK in race 1 , when we stopped in the entrance lane to exit the track the engine sounded a little odd just on slow tick-over, a compression test this morning showed low compression which was to be expected as it was running in, but I expected better readings .
Yes I could have raced but to be safe I decided to pull out and check the engine back home to make sure there's nothing proper wrong. :(

Just booked a full test day at Brands the day before the next Thunder Saloon round on the 31st the 1st of August to make sure the engine gets some proper running in mileage on it.

Easy more time in there champ. Get that box downshifting properly will allow you to enter and exit corners smoothly but you know this anyway.
