Race started well early!

Amazing I switched on the race started within 30 secs

Clive in lead on lap 4, but safety car has been out for 2-3 laps.

Ooops - RED FLAG!

Race "Finished"??

You can reply the race if you move the timeline slider. Clive retired on about lap 4 with smoke coming from what looked like the rear of the car. It looked to me like near side rear brake or something rubbing. I don't think it was engine

Well, a mixed start to the season. As above, stuck it on pole In qualifying with 33 cars on track, unable to get a clear lap, led the race setting fastest lap but broke the new diff nose support bracket we just fitted, which was the first DNF in three years so it went on the trailer and home for a revised bracket to be designed for next Monday's race at Donnington with Thunder Saloons .

BTW The smoke some saw was the propshaft sliding out of the gear box causing an oil leak onto the exhaust.

Clive and Leclerc on pole in the same week end!

Really enjoyed seeing the Rx8 plow through that pack of hot hatches! Shame about the DNF. Hopefully not too much work to put right. Best of luck with the repairs and improvements! Looking forward to Donington already.

Some good laptimes in practise and going well until the bracing failure. Hopefully not too difficult to fix. Real shame this didn't show itself in the Brands Hatch test sessions
