Theres so much available for those boxes you can pretty much spec all the gear ratios and final drives and build a perfect gearbox for whatever circuit your on. Carbon fibre synchros too. And a myriad of lsd choices. Wouldnt be suprised if the car was running a k24 frankenstein engine too.

Yes, but it was still a lots of money for the dog-box he's running, got to be worth a second a lap on my car with the speed you can change gear. (I had a dog box in a car years ago so I know they are a huge advantage)

My problem out of the Druids hairpin was the car just dropped off boost on exit and had to wait for it to fire up again .
I would have liked to run a wider line but if you look on the ground you will see there had been a oil down

Yeh those Honda gear boxes are great, with Hondas being so popular in racing there's been loads of money pumped into strong gear boxes. The drag cars pushing 1200hp still use the H pattern dog boxes

I thoroughly enjoyed the day. Good weather, good track action and great company. Shame about your tyre issues in the 2nd race Clive, but the first race was really exciting to watch and 2nd place was an excellent result. I've got zillions of photos to wade through, but I'm at Go Japan today and busy the next few days, with a trackday at Mallory Park on Wednesday. I'll get some pics up eventually
