Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

I guess if you play with the big boys and they realise you don’t have sponsorship .
The more chance you have of gaining some considering yours in the top third of results ?

I did consider asking someone to photo shop the stickers off the car, apart from the RB stickers on the sides and the roof,  so I could show avaliable advertising space.

As you can see below, Andrew (Jinx) did help putting these proposals together (see attachments) but they have brought nothing so far.

So glad you got a good result in such exalted company and on a budget a fraction of some of those out there.

Colin (Voycetune) was a one time customer of mine and I installed the CCTV at his Billericay premises. I think maybe I told you the story of his Mountune developed engine and what it cost so little wonder he was quick. His son Stuart was also at one time racing a Beemer.
Sadly no longer with us, RIP Ray, 9 Feb 2021

If you are at the limit of your tyres, how exactly do you increase the limit of your tyre?

Do you need a wider tyre? Or is there other things you can do to get more out of your current tyre to make them work better? Would that be more downforce and less weight?

Congratulations Clive, an absolutely brilliant result when up against that competition (and bigger budgets).

A lap time of sub 53 sec in qualifying, and getting 53.XX sec laps in the race is quite an achievement  :notworthy:

Video's are starting to appear, no wonder the Vecra was Quick it was part of the BTCC Super Touring era which got dumped because of crazy costs.

Hmm, that car in Class C and yours in Class A ?? How can that be? Quickest laps of the entire field by quite a massive 0.64s.

Good video though, exciting to watch. Nice, clean driving too.

I just love listening to the on boards when they're banging through the gears, especially on the down shifts

If a sequential box is worth 2 seconds a lap then that puts you 1.4 seconds a lap quick than the fast lap

Best get saving Clive, one big expenditure on a gear box still won't be equal to the total sum you have spent so far

James was asking me if I was interested in a GSR gear box from one of his friends in boston... Sadly I cannot buy one of those beauties right now, maybe in a year or 3

In fact looking at the best lap times etc, 2 seconds a lap would put you right up there with the front runners, although 3 tenths still behind that vectors, although I bet he had that thing set to 11 and the engine needs a refresh of bearings for the next race

I must say, winning is a great feeling in any sport, however I bet starting at the back of the pack and driving through to the front is extremely exhilarating and also tiring

Worth a little look from around 4  minutes in

https://youtu.be/0Zxf7gxs9Vc?t=302

Pleased I looked at the first one,  as I now know why I got such a tank slapper on behind the TT. It was the car dumping fluid on the track all the drivers were complaining about.

Amazing
There’s me thinking , you don’t need a sequential it’s sound like you have one
Then , It’s not you
Yes you need one
