Thatll do it..even though 2 senders its still 1 circuit...thats gotta be fuel slosh moving the float up n down....twist the cable before plugging in to take up the slack?

Must admit its real weird as I have never had that side of the tank apart and never heard of this happening.

Jamie is maybe right, so I will go slower around corners  ;)

I don't think that's the best answer ole bean lol

Jon had a fair point of twisting the wires up before fitting.

Im trying to picture it in my head, fuel sloshing forward, wires moving forward n back, float going up n down.

I think you have invented the worlds first automotive 400 bhp ( twin turbo lol ) weaving / knitting machine  :sign0098:

The little turbo is what 150bhp then the biggie boy turbo does the rest...yeah...compound turbos cool...and its a hybrid as it has a battery and starter motor...could be argued that part of engine running is in effect down to amps not fossil fuel.

The white plastic bit sits on the bottom of the tank and twists and turns to lock into place, somehow the thing had twisted and fell off its mount.

Hopefully is was just never locked in place correctly at the factory,

Have you electrically plugged it back in to confirm its working? And if it was physically unplugged and say stuck on full...then that explains the false reading as the gauge although 1 circuit is a sum on the 2 readings from each sender. So unless both reading empty gauge can never read empty. Hope that makes sense

Its a nice little design feature that.

I cut the bottom of the plastic stock tank and retained the twist lock that's plastic welded to the tank and bolted that feature in my aluminium tank.

Using Mazdas R&D experience for my benefit. No point trying to re-invent the wheel lol

Tanks reading 1/2 tank, which is about right  :13:

Jamie, you knew more than me as I had never been inside that part of the tank before.

A video has just gone up showing Malcolm waving to his fans and then at the end, me on the podium !

Had the weekend working on the race car getting ready for Mallory Park next Sunday .

Fed up of having a scolding hot left foot, I lined the footwell with Zircotech Form
https://www.zircotec.com/zircoflex-form/

Took the Turbo off and cured the leak from the down pipe so hopefully Christine cant keep tying to gas me!

Next I pulled the wheels off to change the front pads and found the rears were also shot!.

I was really happy with the performance of the latest Racingbrake pads with Hawk DTC30 in the rear but still only got two events plus last weeks JDM !!

All set for Mallory Park , new brake pads fitted plus new medium compound tyres up the inside.

Not expecting too much at this track due to the layout of the track which I think will suit FWD plus I haven’t driven the track for 10 years!

Time table for Sunday https://www.tsl-timing.com/event/192362

Times are
Qualy, 9.30 GMT
Race One  12.05GMT
Race Two 15.50 GMT

Good luck Clive  :great:

TBH, I think the circuit should suit your car  :)

It will be interesting to see how you fare on Gerard's Bend against the FWD jobbies. A bit like Coram but exiting onto a long straight. The 8 seems to love long sweeping bends, so if you can get good exit speed out of there you should do well. The problem will be Shaw's hairpin, where the FWD's will close up and try to overtake, but it's followed by a long straight where you can get any lost place back.... in theory....  ;)

Meanwhile, I'll sail on  ;)
