Yep blunted it...electrians always blunt there knives...done me thumb too. I could've just unplugged everything and pulled it out but wanted to do on car and see what's what...plus the bloomin gearbox switches are on this loom...I'm gonna extend this loom with another loom once all redundant out. Coffee time..can't see my blood on Clive engine it's red...superglue man,d up and crack on.

Not sure what's going on with injectors...seems to have 2 feeds...need to look at drawings...worry later...

Loom is out, 1 casualty coil T1 plug depinned itself..but prob blessing in disguise as fell apart in my fingers. Loom can now be picked apart and loose rear 02 sensor and reverse switch...poss neutral.. I know it effects idle need to speak to Clive.

Not surprised you chopped yourself that blade thingy looked lethal

Bought two 192 Head lamp units and a couple of H7 bulbs so you can just literally run one power line and an earth through a flip switch on the dash, as said all we need is head lamps that just light up for scrutineering.

The original lamps will stay on the car for now as the 231 and 192 units are identical bar the ballast units underneath so the H7 bulbs will fit.

Reason for leaving them in is because the whole nose and splitter assembly will need to come off to get to the bottom bolts that hold the head lamp units in,

Cool...can you see why need neutral switch in gearbox? In gear brings up idle...?

It's an 8 loom so loads of stuff like vdi ssv airpump not needed...it's just a case of identifying what's redundant and pulling back out...I did on car some un picking just to refresh my memory as there are some power connections hidden in the loom and a bit of daisy chaining...

Get car running and just keep chopping until engine cuts out. Reconnect that cable then continue currinf

Yep...engine loom first...car running then cabin...hoping todo loom tomoz morn8ng and then get back in afternoon got dig my spare loom out think it's in shed of all places...wanna lengthen loom so ecus can be mounted in an electrical box safe n sound...I have 1 left over from Westy. Then pinch the single and bodge my rotten old set of twins on and hope Clive don't notice...I have a new phone and it has to relearn text...raa.
