First race DNF. Clive pulle off as car had gone into limp mode. Experiment with ABS  wasn't a success. Now sorted for 2nd race. Races running about 15mins ahead of schedule, but race after Clive stopped, so may push things back to published scheduled.

Subaru was 6 seconds quicker? That’s a lot of time.

Pretty sure not the nippon scooby...just what the commentator said it had at least 650bhp...so as a bench march and prob on slicks.

Sadly, Clive's 2nd race didn't go well. Car went into limp mode on the rolling start lap. I'll let Clive explain the details later. Really disappointed for Clive, as he put in several sub 56 sec laps in the first race, with more to come I'm sure.

First up, the Subaru was Dale Gent's Thunder Saloon Slick shod mental horsepower car.

Really disappointed about today, Car's still stuck in limp mode !

Positive first, 1.1 seconds faster than the last time out at Brands and I had no confidence in the brakes, so I felt that I had maybe another second to come with no other mods. Cars now faster on the straight and braking what I thought was far to early for Paddock Hill it was pulling 130 mph, so its got some grunt now.

Brakes felt like the ABS was kicking in so rather than pulling the fuse I decided (wrongly) to un-clip the cables in the boot, first lap gave me the biggest lock up I think I have ever had with just the fronts working.

Shot back in the pits, for a pit stop by my trusty crew to reconnect the cables (Malcolm :great:) and with the brakes now working I was looking forward to getting my head down to see what it would do---------------and it went into limp mode !!
Back in the pits did the ECU reset and thought it was sorted------------wrong and now it won't  come out of limp mode at all  :(

Codes come up all Throttle, Maf related etc, etc.

P2123     P0102      P0108   P0031  P0037 P2008  PO443   P2259   P0661

If any one has any ideas I'm listening, first thing I will try is to refit the stock ECU I changed  a few years back, as it looks like from all these codes that the ECU may have lost outputs ??

All the best Clive

That many codes Clive sounds like lost power on loads of sensors..so suspect engine loom feed power supply....or a earth fault...
Ill look at drawings later ( at work)...eng cont1 springs to mind.

In addition that p0108...barometric circuit high...thats on the 5v circuitry...the 5v's is generated from the pcm itself and as its high fault...suggests over 5v among other things so possibly a spike...worth checking alternator output running etc.

P2123...throttle position high input...again this is 5v circuitry generated from the pcm...
Id be running up and checking voltage output from alternator...reving it if she will and you wanna be seeing max 14.4dc volts..

Sounds like a good call Jon  :icon_thumleft:, especially when you couple it with Clive having a fuse blow on a circuit a couple of times, which might also suggest higher than expected voltage triggering a blow on a fuse near the amp limit for the circuit.

Summit up for multiple codes...fingers x the pcm is ok. Be interested to know what fuse that blew was feeding.
