Hiding, Its all so well packaged it took me two days to notice where it was

I wanted the water injection tank hidden, so Jim made a custom tank, hidden right up under the dash, all you see is the filler cap when the top of the dash is removed, mission accomplished    .

Shame we are racing in the International circuit as it will suit the big V8's etc, but we shall see !

Be interesting down the Hanger straight as we dont use that on the National track

First up, todays award for outstanding tenacity goes to Jim  for even just getting me on the grid, working most of the day to try and work through various gremlins. The Tein EDFC decided to play up which meant I could not adjust the dampers.

Going to the grid to go out for practice the engine boiled and Jim quickly rewired the electric pump and got me out there.  First race was hectic and sadly I got squeezed and made contact with an escort on the third corner!

I know that the car has a lot more to come but its still so frustrating that at the moment that people have put a lot of effort into the car to make it faster, but at the moment till we can get some decent boost into the car, the car feels slower than it did at the top end, with the long straights killing me seeing cars romp away from me that really shouldn't be able to!.

Going to pull the front wing out but sadly that's not going to make the car any quicker tomorrow!
Looking forward, gong to sort out the boost issue next week then back to Pips to find some decent power to make Brands a better event.

Well, I still have sunburn on my head and face from a glorious day at Silverstone.

Nice to have a catch up with Clive and meet Jim for the first time. The bloke has hands like JCB diggers ! Im amazed by his workmanship on anything as dexterous as wiring!

Everyone seems stressed, Christine not playing ball. Im staying out the way unless needed. Clive fires the ole gurl up to a raucous barrage of pops and bangs, its sounds glorious, but im told its not right. ......sounds great to me!

Clive and Jim scurrying around her like soldier ants. Hes got the bonnet up, cant see the engine.... just a nuclear powerstation sized turbo.

Didnt realise the prang on the N/S front corner until after the race. However you can see some massaging of the front wing on the pics.

Just thought I'd share a few pics..... not going to hijack Clives thread with all the other marques of cars I was salivating over throughout the day.... but at least a few of my favourites..... esp the one where it looks like Clive has parked his car on the Armco Barrier.
