The dvla are now wise to this and to my knowledge you will find it very hard to get it changed nowadays.

im actualy just off the phone to them, they said if i take my v5, tax disk, mot, insurance and documentation stating the correct CC to my local dvla office (glasgow), they will change over the tax disks for me the same day and sort it out, will also re-emburse any moneys owed from the tax.... just need to figure out how to get evidence of the actual CC... will a mazda dealer do this?
neil what do you mean by "wise to this" ?  technicaly speaking im in the right am i not?

neil_jdmr

I don\'t mean its wrong or anything,  mine is 1308 on log book but something technical to do with rotary only having 3 combustion cycles which affects our calculated cubic capacity,or something

Somebody throw me a bone here

Quote from: B.Martin;813368The best option is at rebuild time, get a different engine number and change it with that.

What engine number? All the housings are interchangable lol

B.Martin

I don\'t have my log book to hand, but I\'m sure it states an engine number?

Where would you get the number from though?

Let us know about this mate, be interesting to see how you get on.

My log book states both a chassis and engine number, the engine number is 13BE009xxx.

So it must have one somewhere or it wouldn\'t be on the log book.

i found a load of specs on mazdas site , so printed it all out , highlighted them in yellow , sent it off with the V5 and a nice letter saying please change it .. and they did !! :D
