Motaquip battery Q

I\'ve got a motaquip VBZ32 battery which needs charging. Is it a sealed battery or not? Can\'t find any info on the web, and it has a plastic strip on the top which looks like it should come off. There is a slot hole on either end which could be for prising it off. Trouble is, I\'ve tried to take it off and the plastic gives before it comes off so I\'m guessig it may be a sealed unit after all.

Also, the sides of the battery case are slightly bulged which worrries me a bit - normal or not?

I\'m not keen on spraying acid everywhere if it goes pop - any thoughts?

In case you havent sorted this already. Bulging batteries are not good. Time for a new one.
