Didn\'t know there was a spell check. On a personal note maybe the people having a pop at people not being able to spell should realise we can\'t all be a+ students at spelling. Oh how about you have a go at my mum for not being able to walk seeing as the people that can spell are all god and mighty might as well have a go at every flaw in everyone.

Whilst i dont want to excite you any further, i left school without any passes, my highest grade was an E or F (o levels in those days not gcse or whatever they are now) so i am not an A+ student either! :wave

correct spelling is a pet peeve of mine, hate having to work out what people are saying, looks so unprofessional too.

It\'s no good saying that people should get off about people not being able to spell and relating it to people not being able to walk, there are things that can help you spell readily available.

If someone who I didn\'t know contacted me with text type or spelling where its obvious they didnt even bother trying to type properly or check it, I find it rude and will treat them with contempt, whereas if it was someone I knew, I wouldn\'t mind. Hell, even if the spelling was bad and they apologised for it, then I at least would know they had a problem and weren\'t just being lazy to begin with.

Ooh, also, I love pointing out mistakes in published works, such as books or on the back of DVD covers... brings a ray of joy into my heart and a cruel word to my lips... usually along the lines of "kn*bend"

i hate all the abbreviated text stuff, it does my head in! i have a friend of mine she will text me and i have to call back and ask her what she just sent!
1 day for example i got a text from her and what i could make out of it was her and her sister were hoovering outside, it turned out it was something completely different and nothing to do with hoovering when i called her to find out why she was hoovering outside!

I tend to just ignore them when they use text speak, or just saying "what?" until they text with real words lol

the only non proper word i use is "imorn" i know its not the queens own but up in scotland that word is used to say tomorrow, its part of the language but i only use it when speaking to folk in scotland cause they understand what it means

Please stop taking it personally. It\'s a forum, people will jest and laugh and moan about everything.

Incidentally what has spelling got to do with your mum not being able to walk? It\'s hardly a similar situation is it?
