Thought i\'d stick this up just to see if anyone\'s keen - basically i\'ve got the joys of my first self-employed tax return coming up in April, so i need to free up some funds before then just in case. I\'m in no rush, so no silly offers, and if i can find a way to keep it i will :)

It\'s a 1995 Bathurst edition RX7 with 66,000 on the clock, I\'m the second owner since it\'s import into the UK back in 2004 (and I\'ve not owned the car long). Comes with all history since it\'s been in the UK (when it was almost standard) full to the latest work it\'s undergone in my ownership.

I bought this car (having previously owned a stock FD3S) due to it having a rebuilt, bridgeported engine along with the awesome HKS T51-R KAI single turbo kit. Unfortunately despite being informed that it was mapped, it was only done so upto wastegate spring pressure. The car overboosted when i turned on the Profec B (only found out later that doing so automatically raises the boost, handy) which chipped the rear rotor tip literally miles after picking it up.

After a compression test revealed the worst, the engine was taken to rotary specialists MAV Tuning (mavtuning.com) where it was disassembled, inspected, cleaned and then rebuilt with all the various parts needed despite the engine not being very old since it\'s initial rebuild (parts such as water seals, o rings, stuff you don\'t really want to use multiple times). I also had the T51R KAI turbo rebuilt by Universal Turbos with a whole new rear wheel/shaft after the chipped apex seal partially damaged the blades on its way out the engine, just to be sure. Ben @ MAV is without a doubt one of the nicest and most-knowledgeable guys i\'ve met, cannot thank him enough for the help and explaining every little bit along the way - can\'t reccomend him enough.

Got the car back on the road and I\'ve been using it ever since, having a blast to be honest! But truth be told, it\'s not the most practical \'daily\' car even though I have been using it every day with the occasional 100+ mile round trip - it\'s a bridgeported motor, it\'s never going to be great on fuel or idling but it feels and drives fantastic. Makes a hell of a noise too and since the build hasn\'t missed a beat (obviously). Starts first time every time, hot or cold - pulls fantastic even at 0.85 bar and revs so easily.

The car overall is in fantastic condition, it\'s rust and dent free - all the arches are solid and the sills also are rust and damage free. It\'s been seriously well looked after, and to be honest i\'ve been overly harsh on the car purely so nobody turns up and goes \'it\'s got a stone chip on the bonnet, will you knock £500 off\' - that\'s just general wear and tear, the car\'s 17-years-old at the end of the day. But the shell\'s solid, bodywork totally straight and it\'s rust-free.

So that\'s basically a brief outline of the car\'s history with me as the owner. I really don\'t want to sell the car, having invested the money into it, but after March/April time i\'ve got no choice unless some money fairy decides to help me out. I\'m still using it every day and i\'m not prepared to let it go for peanuts - in no rush to sell/swap, it\'ll be a few months before i need something more useable so to speak and i\'ll keep enjoying it until then.

God knows what power it\'s making now but it\'s fairly quick - previously dyno\'d at 350 wheel horsepower at just 0.7 bar of boost. Hate to speculate, but the spec + engine + turbo will easily achieve over 500 at the flywheel at around 1-1.2 bar of boost safely.

If you want a car you can polish every afternoon and pop to the shops, it\'s probably not the best choice. But if you want a car that\'s an immense amount of fun, huge power potential and generally a unique, track-ready road car then feel free to get in contact. But like i said, it\'s actually in very good condition and the shell\'s dent/rust free, paintworks ace aswell to be fair. I\'m just being overly harsh.

Also forgot to add, I\'ve got hundreds of pictures from the full rebuild process, turbo rebuild and generally every step of my ownership with it. I also have the car\'s full previous history including the original rebuild from RX Motors, all MOTs, import certificates and so forth.

Tax\'d and MOT\'d till March 2012.

Looking for 8995 or best offers, happy to listen to swaps/px too. Got no problems showing anyone the car/taking \'em out (gives me an excuse to use it haha), but don\'t expect to come over and have a drive unless you\'re prepared to put down a deposit.

Tell me about it dude - i\'m in no rush, and don\'t have to have it sold for a couple of months yet (heck if i can magic some money from nowhere i\'ll keep it haha) but with my tax return going up it\'s just not worth the risk.

Love the car to bits and will be crap to see it go, but being in the crap with the taxman would be a whole lot worse unfortunately.

Haha, i\'d need to see pictures first :chat

Yeah i\'m just round the corner from pod - little town called Kettering about 5 miles from Wellingborough.

Car has zero rust - all the arches are solid, do damage/dents/dings on the whole bodywork to be honest! Sills haven\'t been abused by Jacks and are completely solid, same with the underside of the car, no rust or damage what so ever.

Frankie2531

Yeap I know wher you are let me speak to mr bank man and see what he says

Markriccioni

I\'ve had a few messages from people asking about the general condition of the car and any rust, simple answer is the shell\'s rust-free and totally straight - arches are all solid, coilovers etc. are all corrosion free and generally it\'s in exceptional condition given the age.

Oh and i\'ve also managed to put the majority of the interior back in.

Anyways, pictures:

Bump - had a fair amount of interest/viewers, still available though.

For anyone seriously interested but hasn\'t quite got the cash, i\'d happily sell the car on standard FD alloys/tyres for £7500.
