More and more europeans outside Norway, Sweden and Denmark have discovered the crazy 3day Gatebil car festival in Norway july each year. Cars in all shapes, types and sizes beaten to death in 201-drag, trackracing, drift-heats, racing series etc, all while the garage-queens of audio and carstyling get their share of attention on the nextdoor gocart-track and in the pit.
Got a 4didgit hp car you want to race? Bring it!  Got a 130hp golf you want to track? Bring it! We do it, so can you! ;)
Spotting that old Volvo 240, old Merc 190, ugly rusty Bmw or Ford Escort in your rear view mirror in the pits while waiting to race, and you laugh asking yourself why its going out on the track?   Chances are high he will drift pass you in 4th on the straight with smoke pooring from both wheels. This is a sleeper-car heaven! :D

The event has been going on close to two decades now and the track was recently rebuilt to F1-testing standards, with hills, drops, awesome turns and speedy straights. Its a drivers dream!

Are YOU coming? :D

Ps. Even though it may look like it, its not a drift festival. Just as long as you dont drive recklessly swirving around in traffic, you dont get black-flagged for drifting when driving. In fact, its appreciated :driving

Apparently putting details of your car spec in your signature means the nice folks on exile-rotorsport think you\'re a fool.  I can think of no higher compliment!

hehe, scrape up a 5man crew, get a van, stuff it with tents, sleeping bags and other needed stuff, and get the 7 on the trailer. A 5 man crew gets away pretty cheap transportationwise as long as the van is a turbodiesel-thing :D
There is no problems in life, buddy ;) Only challenges ;)

Hmm, also check into theese two options, i only linked it from Kiel cause i knew its kind of like a crossroad wherever you go north from there :)

theres a ferry going from denmark to norway, it could save you some time.

http://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=Kiel,+Tyskland&daddr=1890,+Norge+(Rakkestad+kirke)&hl=no&ll=56.872996,10.349121&spn=8.343384,23.269043&sll=56.823497,10.658233&sspn=8.354068,23.269043&geocode=FV3oPAMdDXaaACmtl-6PDVayRzEgA1jGY4kkBA%3BFaCJigMda3utACErLq7QMQsgeA&oq=rakkestad&vpsrc=0&mra=pd&t=m&z=6

Or, i would look into driving through denmark, over the bridges to sweden, and north from there, i will link the trip in next post.
